Most families who home educate are doing it because school stopped working, and a great many are doing it for a child who would not manage a set task today. This is what Northern Territory actually asks in that situation.

Compulsory subjects for each year level
All home education curriculum programs must meet ACARA requirements. The Territory publishes a grid of compulsory subjects by year band, and a purchased program must align with the Australian Curriculum and include content description codes. Evidence must be consistent with the topics and assessment tasks in the curriculum plan, and may include written documents, completed worksheets, video clips, audio files, photographs and artwork.
