- Education and Children's Services Act 2019 (SA), ss 60 & 68(3)(a)(iii) (general compulsory-attendance provisions). SA has no dedicated 'home education' Part — approval is an exemption from the duty to attend school, administered by delegation from the Minister.

Where South Australia differs, in detail
The specifics a product built for one state gets wrong everywhere else.
- SA calls it an 'exemption' from school attendance, not a 'registration' — QLD's registration language doesn't fit.
- SA requires a home visit for both the initial application and every renewal; QLD's standard process does not require a home visit at all.
- The learning program must explicitly address all 8 Australian Curriculum learning areas as a condition of approval — a firmer, named curriculum-coverage gate than QLD's more open 'summary of approach' model.
- The exemption lapses automatically if renewal isn't completed within 7 days of expiry — a harder cliff-edge than QLD's renewal handling.
- The child stays formally enrolled at an SA school throughout — home education is framed as leave from that enrolment, not a parallel registration category.
